These terms govern your use of backroomindia.com and purchases, sourcing requests and reservations made through BACKROOM.
About BACKROOM
BACKROOM is an online-only retailer and sourcing service operating from Delhi, India. We sell and source authenticated sneakers, watches and collectibles for delivery within India. We do not operate a walk-in shop.
Questions and grievances can be sent to grievance@backroomindia.com. Do not send a product or parcel to any address unless we have first provided written return instructions.
Accounts
You must provide an email address you control to sign in and accurate contact and delivery information when placing an order. The six-digit sign-in code is personal, expires quickly and must not be shared.
You are responsible for activity completed through your verified account. Tell us promptly at grievance@backroomindia.com if you believe somebody else has accessed it.
Products, prices and availability
Product condition, size, included packaging and price are shown on the relevant listing or written quote. Prices are in Indian rupees. Insured delivery is shown separately before payment.
Stock and market availability can change. A payment does not require us to supply an item where the listing contained a genuine pricing or stock error, the item failed inspection, or fulfilment became impossible. In that case we cancel the affected order and refund the amount paid to the original payment method.
Orders and payment
Payments are processed by Razorpay. Card, UPI and banking credentials are entered with Razorpay and are not stored by BACKROOM. An order is confirmed only after the payment is verified and the confirmation appears in your account.
In-stock products are paid in full. A sourcing request is free until you accept its written quote. A reservation deposit pays for our release-day sourcing effort and is governed by the reservation terms in force when the deposit is paid.
Authentication and customer checks
We inspect each product before dispatch as described in our Authentication policy. Product photographs, descriptions and packaging details form part of the listing, subject to minor differences caused by lighting and display settings.
Check the product, size, delivery information and applicable policy before paying. For damage or a product that is not as described, preserve the parcel and follow the evidence and notice steps in our Refunds and cancellation policy.
Shipping, cancellation and refunds
Delivery destinations, charges and estimated timelines are set out in our Shipping policy. Delays outside our reasonable control do not change your statutory rights.
Cancellation, return, claim and refund eligibility is set out in our Refunds and cancellation policy and, for deposits, our Reservation terms. Nothing in these terms limits a right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, submit false information, use another person's payment method without permission, or use the service for unlawful resale or fraud.
The BACKROOM name, website design, written copy and original photographs may not be copied or commercially reused without written permission. Third-party product and brand names belong to their respective owners.
Changes and governing law
The policy version accepted at payment continues to govern that transaction. We may update these website terms for later use, and the updated date will appear below.
These terms are governed by Indian law. Courts and consumer forums with jurisdiction under applicable law remain available; these terms do not take away any mandatory consumer remedy.
Questions before payment
Email grievance@backroomindia.com before paying if a listing, quote or policy is unclear. We would rather answer first than leave a disagreement later.
